Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Hybrid OR and Cath Lab
Coffman partnered with Given Design Group to provide mechanical and structural engineering services for the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) Hybrid OR and Cath Lab. The project will support the hospital’s continued leadership in advanced medical care, including treatment for burns, spinal cord and brain injuries, cancer, and cardiovascular conditions.
The scope includes the replacement of end-of-life equipment in the existing Catheterization Laboratory #1 and the development of a new Catheterization Laboratory #2 within existing shell space. Additionally, the project introduces a new state-of-the-art Hybrid Operating Room (OR) along with essential support spaces for patients, staff, and equipment. These include areas such as the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), offices, staff lounges, lockers, and patient holding zones. The project is being delivered in four distinct phases for efficient execution and coordination.
