Refinery Fuel Oil Tank Heating

Coffman is provided civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls engineering services for a bulk storage tank heating project in Cook Inlet, Alaska. This project includes design of process equipment and process controls to add external heating loops (5.5 MMBTU/Hr) to large fuel oil storage tanks (223,000 Bbls), and sizing and selection of shell and tube heat exchangers, pumps, oversized pump motor replacement (1,000 hp), control valves, flow meters, pressure and temperature instrumentation, fuel specification analyzers, process piping, gas fired process heater modifications, major electrical power upgrades and distribution, structural pipe supports and a pipe bridge, and storage tank nozzle modifications.
