We provided structural engineering and seismic analysis for the replacement of the former "C" Concourse at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) and expansion of the existing south terminal by 447,000 sf to meet growing passenger demand. The completed expansion includes airline operations areas, concessions, restaurants, airport security, public transiting, restrooms, ticketing, check-in, baggage claim, and Alaska’s first moving sidewalk.

The south terminal was expanded by 447,000 sf to meet passenger demand.  The expansion involved lowering footings and floor slabs and adding new lateral resisting elements in the existing building.  The completed facility totaled 809,000 sf and offers sweeping view of the Chugach Mountains with dramatic Alaskan and aviation artwork.
