For over 35 years, Coffman Engineers has provided corrosion control engineering services to clients throughout the United States and Guam. Our corrosion control department includes over 20 NACE International certified professionals that provide corrosion control monitoring, design, and commissioning services for oil and gas, water and wastewater, marine, government, commercial, and residential clients. Our senior staff members also serve as subject matter experts for regulatory compliance and audit support issues. Coffman’s corrosion control team is considered to be Alaska and Hawaii's leading corrosion control experts by many clients, contractors, operators, and regulatory authorities.

  • Design ofcorrosion control systems for new and existing structures, including pipelines, storage tanks, docks, and offshore platforms.
  • Installation supervision, construction management, and commissioning services for cathodic protection systems.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance of cathodic protection systems to evaluate and optimize system performance.
  • Specialty Testing including soil corrosivity, close interval surveys (CIS), current requirement, and interference testing.
  • Coating selection, specification development, inspection, and failure analysis.
  • Inspection of storage tanks including corrosion evaluations and engineering support.
  • Gas Leak Detection monitoring for pipelines and facilities.
  • Failure Analysis to determine and document specific material failure mechanisms associated with ductile iron, carbon steel, cast iron, and copper piping systems.
