Coffman received an award for the University of Idaho's newly renovated College of Education building.
Coffman was honored to receive a second place award for renovation projects for the University of Idaho's College of Education building in Idaho Business Review's "Idaho's 2016 Top Projects". Coffman provided structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering for the facility.
The University and Idaho Department of Public Works did a total remodel of the building, gutting the building down to the steel and concrete structure. The redesigned structure is now a cutting edge high-tech building and maintains the majestic characteristics of the university. A big consideration was asbestos containment and maintaining air quality and cleanliness throughout construction to receive a LEED Gold certification.
