Dave Ruff's 14 years of mechanical engineering experience includes major responsibilities in large capital projects for the Aluminum industry. These include a baghouse and fume collection system for a casting facility, upgrade of a rolling hearth plate heat treat furnace, design and installation of a plate quenching system, and various other capital upgrades associated with rolling mills, heat treating furnaces, and sheet cut to length lines. Responsibilities included tasks in every phase of the projects from budgeting, defining requirements, writing specifications, designing, managing designs, installation, construction management, and startup. Dave has also designed unique one-off equipment for industries as diverse as fish recovery and Antarctic research.
